the main reason i wanted to come to korea was to gain experience in the teaching field. let alone its great experience for me to live on my own and explore a new culture. I haven't really learnt the language yet, only saying thank you, how much is it?, left right and straight. everyone just assumes im korean here... when i got out with friends (which are all 'white') koreans always come and talk to me...when we go to restaurants, i am given a korean menu while everyone else receives english... its quite entertaining!!! haha...

Anyways, I wanted to learn about new culture but I also wanted to travel... I hoped that I was going to be able to bond with some people here and just be able to do things such as travel with them. Im not much of an alone traveler...I would not decide to do a backpack trip around Asia by myself...but definitely with a friend. I lucked out because i have met some pretty cool people that i get along with pretty well and during summer vacation we are going to CAMBODIA!!!

we are all booked and have a plan! now its just minor details that need to be figured out such as visa's, re-entry pass back into Korea, buying a backpack, getting money exchanged, and we are all set to go! The plan is to spend a few days in Phnom Phem make our way up to Siem Reap check out Angkor Wat and then go back down to Sihanoukville for some beach time. it should be great...
